Freaky Mask Friday

The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. - Jim Morrison

It was a night in November 2012 at Lao Pa Sar food court where I bumped into a group of people who came from Japan & USA for a short visit in Singapore.

It’s Freaky Mask Friday, they claimed. According to them it’s a culture they created, every friday night, they will put on a mask and walks in public places or a self portrait session at their own comfort, follows by sharing the photos on social media platform.

So I hung out with them and started photographing their activities. We had a great time and I look forward to see them again, if they ever come back.
